Personal Injury Attorney Jeffery L. Carmichael

Jeffery L. Carmichael

Mr. Carmichael has been practicing law with Morris Laing since 1981. Jeff has a broad range of experience as a litigator, having settled numerous claims for clients and tried hundreds of cases to verdict. He has represented clients in personal injury matters including semi-truck and car accident cases, premise liability, medical negligence and products liability cases. Jeff and the other lawyers at Morris Laing use a team approach to investigate and prepare claims for submission to insurance companies and, if necessary, to juries for a determination of our clients' rights.

As a veteran trial lawyer, Jeff has a relentless passion for ensuring justice is served, and will not hesitate to take a case to trial when an insurance company is not being fair. He has represented clients throughout Kansas and beyond, from North Dakota to Texas and throughout the Midwest.

Jeff was recently selected by his peers to be included in the Best Lawyers in America 2009 in the field of personal injury litigation.

Not only does Jeff work hard to represent his clients, he volunteers his time for the betterment of the legal field and his community. He has been on the Executive Committee for the Kansas Association for Justice and has served several terms as an officer of that organization. Jeff is also a member of the American Association of Justice and works to protect the rights of injured people. He is also active in the community as a board member at Botanica, Wichita’s botanical gardens.

Personal Injury Lawyer Cameron V. Michaud

Cameron V. Michaud

Upon graduation from law school, Ms. Michaud joined Morris Laing to work with her father, Gerald L. Michaud. Gerald was a pioneer in the field of medical malpractice and was successful in litigating many noteworthy product liability and wrongful death cases that resulted in either withdrawal of products from the market or changes to products to make them safer. While working with her father, Cameron benefited from his 55 years of legal experience and expanded her areas of practice to include not only medical malpractice, product liability and wrongful death cases, but also semi-truck and major motor vehicle collisions.

Today, Cameron concentrates the majority of her practice on personal injury cases and has developed strategies to try and mitigate the impact of the “tort reform” attitudes held by many jurors. Cameron has formed amicable relationships with adjustors of well-known insurance companies and works hard to resolve matters quickly.

She has litigated cases all across Kansas, including Dodge City, Garden City and Sublette in Western Kansas, Saline and McPherson County in Northern Kansas, Pratt, Reno, Sedgwick and Butler County in Central Kansas and Cowley County in Southern Kansas. She has also worked on cases in Oklahoma, Missouri, Texas and Maryland.

Cameron knows how important it is to give back to both the legal profession and her community. She volunteers her time to organizations including the Wichita Bar Association, the Wichita Women Attorneys Association and the Kansas Association for Justice. Cameron supports her community through her membership in the Jr. League of Wichita, and by supporting the Communities in Schools and Success in the Middle programs.
